My friend wanted Starbucks yesterday. (I know, I know! Mainstream coffee places!) And because it was close to the school, I agreed. And while I'm in there waiting FIFTEEN MINUTES for my damn frappuccino, I noticed they were playing some acoustic versions of Jewel songs. My brain nearly died. I love Jewel. She's one of the greatest female poets of the last 15 or so years. But... no one should ever let her record entirely acoustic, raw versions of her music from 0304 (which wasn't a great album anyway). So... I sat there acting like I wasn't about to vomit. And in walks this guy I know. And I'm like... oh.my.god. And I wanted to just leave. I hate running in to people I know at coffee places. It's like they're invading my space. Okay, okay, I'm done. [/rant]

It doesn't really have a title. So.. you guys could help me out and give it one, no?

i was dizzy in my lightless garden
from fumes of dead orchids
that fermented on the purpled ground.
i ripped away at you
with my poisonous nails; infecting the earth.
i gave your brain my virus.
and suddenly i was full of you.
and life drained from our eyes,
shielding our secrets from view.
we struck lightning with our power,
and chased the storm clouds with our vicious cycle.
a whole world framed your pretty eyes.
they were blue like violets
that rotted in the sun.
we spun endless and deceitful circles
and showed teeth of blame.
it was a cruel existence for us both,
until the storybook was closed again.

Well... that's all I've got for now. ♥s and peaces.
~lauren~
